Privacy
Atoic collects as little as possible — the site is free, anonymous, and does not require an account. This page describes what we do collect and why.
What we collect
- Technical information derived automatically from the HTTP requests you make to our servers: browser type, operating system, referrer, and country-level location.
- Page views and basic navigation, if server logs or an analytics tool are enabled on the route you visit.
- Your theme preference (light/dark), stored in your browser's localStorage so it persists across visits. We never see this value — it lives only on your device.
We do not collect your name, email, phone number, IP address (beyond what our hosting provider retains for security), or any financial account information. There is no sign-up flow because we do not want that data.
How we use it
- To keep the site working, fast, and secure.
- To understand which articles and signals are most useful, so we can write better ones.
- To detect and prevent abuse of the site.
We do not sell your data. Full stop.
Third parties
- Hosting. Our site is hosted on Vercel, and our CMS is hosted on WP Engine. Both retain standard server logs for operational and security purposes.
- CDN & DNS. Cloudflare sits in front of our site. Cloudflare may see request metadata as a function of serving pages to you.
- Market data. Pricing and volume information is sourced from third-party providers. We do not share anything about you with them.
- Fonts. Google Fonts serves the Inter typeface. Google may collect IP addresses as part of that request — see their privacy policy.
Cookies and local storage
We do not use tracking cookies. Your browser's localStorage may hold a small amount of preference data (theme choice) that is never transmitted to our servers.
Your rights
Because we do not link activity to an identity, there is typically nothing to delete, export, or correct on a per-user basis. If you have specific questions about data you believe we may hold about you, contact us below.
Children
Atoic is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact us below and we will investigate and delete it.
Changes
We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date below will reflect the most recent change. Material changes will be highlighted on the site.
